Would you like to help out with Vacation Bible School? We have had up to 83 children attend VBS, with that there is a need for many hands helping out and there is a spot for you! You can commit to the time that fits your schedule. We will start working on decorations on Thursday May 21st from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in room 104. Vacation Bible school is June 22-26th, 9:00 am to Noon. Our theme this year is Power Lab, discovering Jesus Miraculous Power.
VBS registration forms are ready for pick-up on the bulletin board, or call Becky at 624-9580. Cost this year will remain the same $15.00 per child; or $45.00 for three or more. However this year we will be selling the music CD for $5.00 and asking you to provide the t-shirt. VBS is for children entering in grades Pre-kindergarten through Fourth grade for 2009.
Youth Choir will be singing Sunday May 3 at 10:00 am Mass. Practice begins at 9:00 am. This will be the last Sunday until next fall, however with the lack of children taking part of this choir, we need to take a good look an see if the youth choir will continue. I much rather see it grow and develop into what I know it can be. We have talented students here at St. Rose; they need to be encouraged by their parents and each other to join the youth choir. If you as a parent would like to help please call George Host at 345-6722.
Thank you to the first grade parents and Stephanie and Brodie Nordquist for helping in the kitchen for First Communion celebration. Also to Annette Gannucci who brought some of our youth to the Youth Rally. Our year is coming fast to the end, however now is the time to pray for next year and to be thinking of how you can help as a parent or someone that would like to get more involved with our youth, parish and school.
